Problem with installing SQLite component lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- PetrH · 2006-06-05 16:16 Hello, I tried to install sqlite component to Lazarus IDE. I got these message: "Compile IDE (without linking)" completed "Compiling package sqlite3laz 0.3" completed /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lsqlite /home/ok2cqr/tmp/lazarus/ide/lazarus.pp(113,1) Error: Error while linking make[2]: *** [lazarus] Error 1 I have sqlite-devel installed. Fedora Code 5, i686, lazarus-0.9.17-20060604 Thanks for help! Petr ---------------------------------------------------------------------- matthijs · 2006-06-05 17:20 But is the sqlite lib available on your search path for ld? Check /etc/ld.so.conf. If in the mentioned directories there is no sqlite library available, add a slink in one of the directories in the path or add the directory with sqlite and run ldconfig. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-06-05 18:12 I added into ld.so.conf.d file sqlite.conf with these lines: /usr/include /usr/lib In these path are sqlite.so (link to sqlite sqlite-2.8.17.so), sqlite sqlite-2.8.17.so, sqlite-3.3.5.so It still doesn't work :-( Petr ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-06-05 18:13 in /usr/include is sqlite3.h and sqlite.h Petr ---------------------------------------------------------------------- pfranchuk · 2006-06-07 00:40 Quote from: "PetrH"Hello, I tried to install sqlite component to Lazarus IDE. You are compiling the package for sqlite3laz. Put an s link for libsqlite3.so to your 3.3.5 .  Or, to use sqlite version 2 compile the right package. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-06-07 06:30 Yes, I am. The error is "Compile IDE (without linking)" completed "Compiling package sqlite3laz 0.3" completed /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lsqlite I made link libsqlite3.so to sqlite-3.3.5.so, tried both packages but with the same error and it still doesn't work. The same error is when I use packege sqlite3laz.lpk or sqlitelaz.lpk. Thanks for help! Petr ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-06-08 10:03 It's working! As I wrote, I use Fedora Core 5. This distribution use sqlite3 for rpm database and you can't install version 2 of sqlite. I  extracted and copy files directly to right directories. I got files from these rpms: sqlite-2.8.16-1.2.el4.rf.i386.rpm sqlite-devel-2.8.16-1.2.el4.rf.i386.rpm Path to /usr/lib and /usr/include must be also written in ld.so.conf. Thanks! Petr
