Lazarus works without problems, it's only the normal programming bits I have trouble with!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-04-30 01:38 Zenwalk 2.2 no probs. Ye olde gtk1 interface works fine. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- glober · 2006-04-30 17:14 Gentoo works very well. I have also installed Lazarus on Kubuntu with no problems. In most cases of a Linux install, usualy the biggest problem is resolving the dependencies. So it's not a question of if Lazarus will work on a distro, but how easy is it to get and install the required dependent files. With Gentoo and Kubuntu (or Ubuntu) the package management system makes getting files very easy to do. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jzombi · 2006-04-30 21:29 On the fully installed Slackware 10.1, there were no missing dependencies for fpc and then for laz. It works with gtk and gtk2 interfaces without any extra packages. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-04-30 22:32 SuSE 10.0 and SuSE 9.3 without problems
