TSpinEdit and GTK2 lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hippy · 2006-04-22 12:48 Hi I have this code which works perfectly when compiled with GTK, but not when compiled in GTK2: procedure TForm1.SpinEdit1Change(Sender: TObject); begin   ProgressBar1.Position := SpinEdit1.Value; end;                                             Does anyone have any ideas for a workaround? Or has this been fixed in a daily snapshot? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-04-22 18:59 there are lots of GTK2 issues.  I don't know if it has been fixed.  Why not just try the snapshot? John ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hippy · 2006-04-22 20:17 The snapshot made no difference but did break Indy yay! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- felipemdc · 2006-04-24 19:23 The snapshot comes with the unstable 2.1.1 compiler. To see if this was fixed in the mean time it´s better to try to use the subversion version with a stable 2.0.2 Free Pascal Compiler. Install the compiler with RPM packages and lazarus via subversion. More information here: http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/Installing_Lazarus ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-04-30 01:46 Don't expect GTK2 to work flawlessly in Lazarus LCL. A lot of it does work fine, but lots of incomplete things. Not much has changed over the past year or two in this regard. GTK2 is just not seen as a priority by the main Lazarus contributors. As with all open-source, if you really want something done, do it yourself (and then share it with the rest of us!)
