Debian - required GTK packages lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tony72 · 2006-03-26 01:37 Edit: ok, I figured out that I need to prefix everything with "lib" to get the Debian package names, doh. These are the packages I installed to get things going. libgtk2.0-0 libgtk2.0-dev libgdk-pixbuf2 libgdk-pixbuf-devel Posts from last year seem to say gtk2 is not too stable, is that still the case, i.e. should I be installing the older version also? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-05-19 01:07 You don't need to install 2 Lazarus. Install the IDE compiled for Gtk 1. Then you can use this IDE to compile software for Gtk1, Gtk2 or Qt. Gtk 1 is the most stable. Gtk 2 works well. Qt is beginning. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-06-01 00:24 Stick with GTK1, because the GTK2 interface remains an unfinished and therefore unreliable and unstable work.
