ugly look, unusable lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- elektronist · 2006-01-17 19:14 I can't use neither lazarus nor my programs build with lazarus in Mandriva 2006 because its ugly and unusable appearance. As allways I did, I installed fpc and fpcsrc from rpm's and lazarus by compiling. Used packages are fpc-2.0.1 and fpcsrc-2.0.1 rpms and lazarus-0.9.10-0.tar.gz. I have no problem with Mandriva LE2005. Here is pictures: Lazarus: (http://www.elektronist.com/linux/haberler/lazarus/laz-ugly.png) Program bad result: (http://www.elektronist.com/linux/haberler/lazarus/pprg-ugly.png) Program good appearance: (http://www.elektronist.com/linux/haberler/lazarus/pprg2-041106.png) As can be seen, component palette icons are not visible. Does anybody have same problem? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- RudieD · 2006-01-17 20:56 What WidgetSet are you using ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- felipemdc · 2006-01-17 21:02 Quote from: "elektronist"I can't use neither lazarus nor my programs build with lazarus in Mandriva 2006 because its ugly and unusable appearance. I would guess that you recompiled your Lazarus for Gtk2. Is that correct? It is known that the IDE only works on Gtk1. I use the latest subversion Lazarus (IDE compiled for Gtk1 and LCL for Gtk2) on Mandriva 2006 without any problems. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- elektronist · 2006-01-17 22:08 Hi Sekel, QuoteI would guess that you recompiled your Lazarus for Gtk2. Is that correct? After installing fpc packages I simply used make in lazarus directory. If default is Gtk2, then you are right. QuoteI use the latest subversion Lazarus (IDE compiled for Gtk1 and LCL for Gtk2) on Mandriva 2006 without any problems. How can I do that? And what about previously compiled programs. For example, PicPrg2 program above was compiled in LE2005, possibly for Gtk1 and result is bad. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jesusr · 2006-01-18 18:05 This looks like a gtk theme bug. if you want to test, try doing this in a console: export GTK_PATH= export GTK_RC_FILES= and then run Lazarus or your program if it works try setting another theme in your window manager definitively ---------------------------------------------------------------------- elektronist · 2006-01-18 19:07 Quoteexport GTK_PATH= export GTK_RC_FILES= and then run Lazarus or your program Yes... Worked...       Thanks a lot.
