My attemts to install Lazarus however fail: suse:~ # rpm -Uvh lazarus-0.9.10-0.src.rpm    1:lazarus                warning: user mattias does not exist - using root warning: group mattias does not exist - using root warning: user mattias does not exist - using root warning: group mattias does not exist - using root ########################################### [100%] suse:~ # and that's all. What can I do? H ---------------------------------------------------------------------- matthijs · 2006-01-05 10:18 it doesnot look like it failed. It only gave a warning about user mattias not existing. Have you tried running lazarus? You could also download the version from SVN en make lazarus from scratch. (It is not that difficult. ) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-01-05 12:40 Thanks  a lot! HTH Andrew ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Drewski · 2006-01-06 16:31 or also perhaps you are using the 32bit fpc? what does "ppcx64 -v" say? and what does "ppc386 -v" say? if you only have the ppc386 file then install fpc 2.0.2 64bit version Andrew ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-01-06 22:49 Stupid question, but did you install the gtk-dev packages? Also short howto install from src.rpm with SuSE (I do it all the time) rpm -Uvh *.src.rpm then adjust in /usr/src/packages/SPEC the .spec file (if you wish) pmbuild -bb --rebuild --target=i686 /usr/src/packages/SPECS/package.spec Note, when you´ve got an athlon (like me) use --target=athlon instead. Then you´ve got your packages. I built some SuSE 10 packages for the i686 http://www.xs4all.nl/~elinjori/joris/suse ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-01-06 22:51 Euh, http://www.xs4all.nl/~elinjori/suse is the right address. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-01-07 22:47 Thanks for all help.
