I have dowloaded the same files that need for mandrake 10.1, a) fpc-2.0.1-050923.i386.rpm b) fpcsrc-2.0.1-050923.i386.rpm c) libgdk-pixbuf-xlib2-0.22.0-5.1.101mdk.i586.rpm d) libgdk-pixbuf2-devel-0.22.0-5.1.101mdk.i586.rpm e) desktop-file-utils-0.10-2mdk.i586.rpm f) lazarus-0.9.10-0.i386.rpm but seems missing something, because the installation stopped  at point d) asking other files. Can somebody   help me? Tks :?: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- felipemdc · 2005-12-12 11:58 Hello, This is a dependency problem. To start with, the problem is that you are downloading libgdk-pixbuf-* for Mandrake 10.1. You need to download them for your current version, i.e. 2006. But there is no need to download them manually. You can use "urpmi" to install the packages. If you don´t know what urpmi is, go to the following links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urpmi http://easyurpmi.zarb.org/ After configuring urpmi on easy urpmi website just type "urpmi libgdk- pixbuf2-devel" as root on the terminal. Do this for the other dependencies also. No need to do this for Lazarus. After you have installed the dependencies, you can install Lazarus with rpm. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lu1950@katamail.com · 2005-12-14 15:58 As I was not able to use urpm I have download all the lib necessary to install lazarus on madriva i.e abt 59 files and in the end all is Ok  tks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2005-12-15 13:36 Olá, Sekel, Estou procurando alguém que tenha conseguido instalar  o Lazarus no debian. You downloaded wrong packages. Those packages are of no use for you. To start with, don't download the .src.rpm package, and also no .tar package Download the pure .rpm packages. This are the packages you need: fpc-2.0.1-050923.i386.rpm fpcsrc-2.0.1-050923.i386.rpm lazarus-0.9.10-0.i386.rpm They are close to "Lazarus 0.9.10 RPM [Notes] (2005-10-06 11:32)" on this page: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=89339 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2005-12-25 04:16 I downloaded the archives indicated by sekel, and, I got to install the first two. After installing, as I open the lazarus to begin to use? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- amiso · 2005-12-27 03:18 Hi,   finding the good packages is very difficult! -  I always install the "gnome" desktop environment even if I use KDE. -  I install "libgdk-" and "libgdk-pixbuf" and "libgdk-pixbuf-devel" and any combination of those words. - Be carefull: there are many of those modules since they refer to GTK and GTK-2. In principle you do not need the version 2 modules. amiso ---------------------------------------------------------------------- felipemdc · 2005-12-27 18:15 QuoteSome requested packages could not be installed:   lazarus-0.9.10-0i386 (due to not satisfying glibc-devel)   In this case you should install glibc-devel package. You really should try to use a dependency solving tool, like urpmi. You can also download single packages here: http://rpm.pbone.net/ QuoteAfter installing, as I open the lazarus to begin to use? You will be able to start lazarus by simply typing "lazarus" on the terminal or by creating a desktop icon that executes the shell command "lazarus" without the quotes of course.
