Error compiling Lazarus on Ubuntu 5.04 lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Josir · 2005-11-05 23:55 Hi folks, this is my first post. I use Pascal/Delphi for 15 years and I'll start to port my applications to Linux and I will try FreePascal and Lazarus. 1) download the source tar.gz and unzip on ~\lazarus 2) cd ~\lazarus 3) make clean all And I got this error: Fatal: Can't find unit Contnrs Error: Compilation aborted make[1]: ** [alllclunits.ppu] Erro 1 make[1]: Saindo do diretório `/home/josir/lazarus/lcl' make: ** [lcl] Erro 2 My configuration: Ubuntu 5.04 Make 3.80 FreePascal: 2.0.0 [2005/09/09] for i386 Any tip on how to fix it ? I think you also need to install the fpcsrc package (fpcsrc is really the name of the package, don't install something like fpc-2.0.0-.src.rpm, install the fpcsrc-2.0.0-i386.rpm). This package includes many source units from the Free Pascal Compiler, witch are used by lazarus. Something else you could try is use alien to transform and install the following packages: fpc fpcsrc lazarus ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Josir · 2005-11-08 11:11 Hi sekel, Freepascal 2 is installed by default on Ubuntu 5.04 - and it's working fine - I can compile fine with it. The problem seems to be on Lazarus source code that can't find those Contnrs unit. Yesterday, I download again the lazarus source code using directly subversion. But I got the same error. Any suggestions ? Josir Gomes Rio de Janeiro - Brasil ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2005-11-08 12:32 Check this FAQ.
