Or maybe you didn't set the target os to linux? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nimes · 2005-10-26 12:47 i tried a glscene demos. (lazarus\components\glscene\demos\....) but "fatal error: can't find unit windows" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2005-10-26 12:53 I think a lot of demoes have not yet been ported to lazarus-linux. What you can try to do, is replace 'Windows' in the uses clause with 'LCLIntf'. Maybe that helps. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- shandar · 2005-10-26 20:12 nimes, how did you get lazarus up and running in Ubuntu 5.10? I'm using Breezy too but I can't get Lazarus to compile (see my other thread). Could you perhaps post some kind of howto showing how you did in the ubuntuforums? I think more people would like to know that, not to mention that it would help freepascal to grow :-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nimes · 2005-10-27 05:57 hi shandar, 1. i downloaded lazarus-0.9.10-0.i386.rpm, fpc-2.0.1-050923.i386.rpm, fpcsrc-2.0.1-050923.i386.rpm 2. i make its .deb (~$ sudo alien lazarus-0.9.10-0.i386.rpm fpc-2.0.1-050923.i386.rpm fpcsrc-2.0.1-050923.i386.rpm) 3. i installed its (~$ sudo dpkg -i lazarus_0.9.10-1_i386.deb fpc_2.0.1-50924_i386.deb fpcsrc_2.0.1-50924_i386.deb) 4. sudo apt-get install libgdk-pixbuf-dev libgdk-pixbuf-gnome-dev libgdk-pixbuf-gnome2 libgdk-pixbuf2 that's all.. and for   glscene : sudo apt-get install libglib1.2-dev glutg3-dev libgl1-mesa-dev libgtk1.2-dev ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nimes · 2005-10-27 06:08 IMPORTANT Note: sudo lazarus   (must be root) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2005-10-27 06:12 Quote from: "nimes"IMPORTANT Note: sudo lazarus   (must be root) If you are not root, you should be able to start lazarus by running the startlazarus executable. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nimes · 2005-10-27 06:13 I created a \etc\fpc.cfg and put these 3 lines in it: -Fu/usr/lib/fpc/$fpcversion/units/$fpctarget -Fu/usr/lib/fpc/$fpcversion/units/$fpctarget/* -Fu/usr/lib/fpc/$fpcversion/units/$fpctarget/rtl ---------------------------------------------------------------------- bonobo · 2005-11-21 07:24 Quote from: "nimes"I tried to install GLScene on Lazarus 0.9.10 using these instructions: However, I get this compile error: Fatal error: can't find units Windows Sorry but i'm looking for the instruction you're talking to.
