Cross Compiling with 0.9.10 and fpc 2.0.1 lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lummie · 2005-10-10 14:43 I have downloaded and installed the latest rpms, running under Fedora Core 4, including the new bin-utils package. I have wine installed, and I am just trying to get lazarus to build a simple single form project for GTK and Win32. If I try and rebuild lazarus, with a win32 target, I get an error cant find unit windows. Are there any configuration steps I need to do to get lazarus to be able to build the same project either for GTK or Win32 cause this is just not working. I am just starting out with Lazarus, (been doing delphi for years) and think the ability to cross compile is it's strength, but I just can't seem to get it configured correctly.  Can't wait for it to be able to do carbon as well... Any help appreciated. regards, Matt P.s. can some one please fix the registration so I can register as a user of the forums. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- matthijs · 2005-10-11 05:43 Did you have a look at this wiki page? On this page all steps to cross compile are explained! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- felipemdc · 2005-10-11 11:18 I think that the cross-platform hability with the same source code and native APIs (win32, gtk, carbon) is the strongest point. If I want to deploy to windows users I will test it on windows anyway, but cross- compiling sure is very nice. Wine is something like 90%, but I wouldn't rely on it. I usually do a exaustive test, including at least a Windows95, a 98, a 2000 and a XP before I deploy to the users =)
