Lazarus on Fedora 3 lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- proffittcenter · 2005-09-20 19:46 Hi I have installed Lazarus on Fedora 3 but it still will not compile - it gives the error /usr/bin/ld  Cannot find -lm Any help would be appreciated. Dave ---------------------------------------------------------------------- matthijs · 2005-09-21 06:12 Standard answer is: It works on my FC3 installation Only this will not help you a lot, so ... Make sure you have: 1. all necessary devel-libs installed. 2. all libs available in the searchpath for the linker (ld) atm I'm at work without Linux so I cannot give you anymore information now. But do a search for the mentioned lib and create a symlink to it in the searchpath for the linker. This is a FAQ as well. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- proffittcenter · 2005-09-21 21:49 Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, as a long term Windows user, this is a little too vague for me. Taking your lead, and the FAQ, and a little Googling, I finally decided that I needed to install one of the FD3 packages. I finally settled on 'Legacy software development' and then Lazarus worked. Not that much different to my Win experience - I get there but never quite sure how. Hope this helps someone else, and thanks again for your help and time. Dave ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2005-12-27 09:10 I have a trouble when using lazarus on Fedora 3. Can you help me? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2005-12-27 09:48 Quote from: "Anonymous" I'll have installed ... lazarus-0.9.0.10-fpc-1.9.3-040122.i386.rpm This rpm is almost 2 years old. Instead of lazarus-0.9.0.10, install lazarus-0.9.10. You can download it from SourceForge
