cannot find -lglib suse9.3 lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Edwin Quijada · 2005-08-01 19:57 Hi!! I am trying to compile Lazarus into Suse9.3 and I get this error /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lglib I check this library and I dont have I read that somebody recommend to put off l and just glib . Please any cluees?? Edwin QUijada ---------------------------------------------------------------------- eric · 2005-08-02 10:22 You need the packages glib and glib-devel installed. You will also need gtk, gtk-devel, gdk-pixbuf and gdk-pixbuf-devel. (What the error message really means is that the ld program is unable to process the argument -l glib, but the space has been omitted.) Eric ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2005-08-02 14:29 eric, Thks!! Eric I can resolve that problem. Now my problem is with gdk-pixbuf . I have libgdk_pixbuf* and I did a symbol link to one of them, libgdk_pixbuf.so now I get the error get_drawable_back seems this is a function into this library??? Any clues? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- eric · 2005-08-02 18:03 I'm afraid that I don't have the answer to that. However I didn't need to make any symlinks on my SuSE 9.3 system to make Lazarus compile, so perhaps your symlink is the problem? Eric
