Messages problem lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Bendito · 2005-04-12 01:36 When I compile an fpc project with the messages option (e.g. -vr or -va), I see the messages fly by in the Messages window during compilation, but at the end of compilation I can only see the last one or two lines of messages and the rest of the messages are no longer accessible. Is this: 1) By design? 2) A known bug or unintended feature? 3) An unknown bug or unintended feature? 4) Due to some setting that I'm too dumb to find? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Bendito · 2005-04-13 00:21 It seems like it's by design. I don't think that is good. For example, when I compile one of my programs at the terminal with the following parameters: Code: [Select]fpc -Sd -B -ostateman -vr main.dpr I get the following output: Code: [Select]Free Pascal Compiler version 1.9.8 [2005/04/11] for i386 Copyright (c) 1993-2005 by Florian Klaempfl Target OS: Linux for i386 Compiling main.dpr Compiling gameengine.pas Compiling /home/cragwolf/JEDI-SDLv1.0/SDL/Pas/sdl.pas Compiling structures.pas Compiling introstate.pas Compiling playstate.pas Compiling menustate.pas Linking stateman 5289 Lines compiled, 0.3 sec If I do the same in Lazarus with the same compiler options I see some messages fly by in the messages window during compilation, but after compilation, the only message I see and can access in the messages window is: Code: [Select]Project "main" successfully built. :) There should at least be an option to retrieve the same output from fpc that you would get on a terminal.
