Another problem on Suse 9.2 lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- skwattrinated · 2005-03-06 16:08 Hi. After enjoying Lazarus on Windows, now I'd like to use it on Linux (Suse 9.2). My problem is that when I try to compile anything, I obtain the error message: Code: [Select]/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lX11 I'm new to Linux, but after reading the FAQ I guess it indicates the lack of X11 library. But, of course, I have Xfree86 installed and well working... There's something I can't understand... Any suggestion? Thanks and regards ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Almindor · 2005-03-06 23:06 You need to install devel packages for X11 and possibly other things. They are -devel.something.rpm Try looking up x or x11 in your package install app to see if you can find such. You'll also need pixbuf and gtk. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2005-03-09 08:43 Thnak you! I had to install xfree86-devel and now it works. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- skwattrinated · 2005-03-09 08:44 Quote from: "Anonymous"Thnak you!
