Lazarus & FreeBSD & FPC 1.9.8 (1.0.10) lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- H3LL · 2005-03-03 21:46 Hi all, at first i have to say that i'm a german guy. Sorry for my bad english... Now my question: I installed fpc 1.9.8 on FreeBSD 5.4 PRERELEASE (works fine) and compiled lazarus 0.9.6. I got no error and when i start lazaras with /usr/src/lazarus/startlazarus the IDE appears. In de Environement options i filled in the src path of the fpc (i downloaded them from www.freepascal.org) and I CAN COMPILE my projects. But when i try to use events (for example doubleclick on a button) i got an error: http://h3ll.homeip.net/error.jpg In the messagebox appears: /usr/local/src/fpc-1.9.8/rtl/unix/classes.pp(22,6) Error: unit not found: SYSTEM But when i try to open the path with less, i can see the UNIT! so it is there! I tried to rescan the source directory but nothing changed. Can anybody help me? I tried to compile lazarus with fpc 1.0.10. But I got an error (DYNLIBS is missing) Is lazarus compatible with this fpc version? Maybe i don't have the UNIT problem with 1.0.10! I hope you can help me.... Greetz H3LL ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2005-03-04 19:25 Hi there You have to copy 3 files in your fpc src dir!                           classes.pp from: ./fpc/rtl/unix/classes.pp to ./fpc/rtl/freebsd                           system.pp from: ./fpc/rtl/bsd/system.pp to ./fpc/rtl/freebsd                           sysosh.inc from: ./fpc/rtl/bsd/sysos.pp to ./fpc/rtl/freebsd then everything works fine for me Greetings from Switzerland Peter FreeBSD 5.4 PRERELEASE, fpc-head, lazarus-head ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2005-03-05 07:25 Hi Sorry last file should have been sysosh.inc not sysos.pp ! Greetings Peter ---------------------------------------------------------------------- H3LL · 2005-03-05 08:13 i tried it and it works! thank you very much! Greetz H3LL ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2005-03-07 13:17 It should not be needed to copy files. IMO it is a bad thing to do, since you are not using the compiled ppu, but it get compiled on each project. This can cause all kinds of strangfe errors. THe error you get is a compiler version mismatch. This means that the binaries of lazarus are compiled with a different version than the compiler and libs installed. Make sure that 1) you don't have any leftover .o and .ppu files after a make clean 2) you don't have multiple versions of ppc installed (or atleast that there is only one ppc in either /usr/bin or /usr/local/bin)
