new fpc compiler 1.9.8 with gtk2

The newest version of the fpc compiler, v1.9.8, comes with pascal GTK2
headers. There is also a Lazarus package available. Hopefully soon the
Lazarus IDE will use it, and we'll be able to generate GTK2
interfaces.

I just installed Lazarus 0.9.7 rpm, the IDE is still built with
GTK-1.x+ widget.
Any plan to move to GTK-2.x+ any time soon?

There are plans to move to gtk-2 in the future, but when depends on
the maturity of gtk2 widget interface. ATM it is not good enough yet.
When it will be good enough, depends on the number of contributors
that fix gtk2 specific bugs.

BTW, where did you get the 0.9.7 rpm?
