Linux powerpc porting lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- superiodico · 2005-02-04 23:13 Hi. I'd like to know if you are working on the port of lazarus to GNU/Linux powerpc. After a bit of hacking, I managed to build lazarus for Debian GNU/Linux powerpc. While trying to run it, I get this error: --- TMainIDE.DoNewProject A TMainIDE.DoNewEditorFile A NewFilename= TPascalParserTool.BuildTree B OnlyIntf=False  project1.lpr ### TCodeToolManager.HandleException: "EAccessViolation: Access violation" [TCustomFormEditor.CreateComponent] Class='TForm' Violación de segmento --- (Last line means "Segment violation"). Anyone using Lazarus on GNU/Linux and powerpc? Can you help me? Thanks in advance, Juanma. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2005-02-07 13:39 As far as I know, there are not many people working with lazarus on linux/powerpc. It worked in the past and linux/i386 and darwin/powerpc are still working. Try running it in gdb and send the back trace of the access violation to the mailing list. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2005-02-07 15:22 I asked somebody to try lazarus on linux/powerpc and it compiled and ran using cvs sources for both fpc and lazarus. So to fix your specific problem, a description of what you did and a back trace would be helpfull.
