hex() lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Brujah · 2004-09-26 14:08 I am a beginner with Lazarus and Freepascal and so please forgive me my stupid questions. Right now I want to build a string which has to contain the hex value '5c'. I tried hex() but this function does not exist. Is there something I can use ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2004-09-26 16:40 you can use IntToHex() or Format('%x', []); ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Brujah · 2004-09-26 22:45 Okay, I would like to use inttohex. But how can I find out in which unit it is ? I tried to search this command with grep. I can't find it.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Lightning · 2004-09-27 10:31 It's in SysUtils wich is probably already declared in the uses section if you are making a default GUI Lazarus application. It would be useful if you had some delphi books/demos, Lazarus has more or less the delphi classes and units, but you could get lost in those include directives. To check if your function is in the uses section press [CTRL]+[LEFT_MOUSE_CLICK] and you'll see where it's declared.
