mysql & lmysqlclient lazarus / 1-Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rhmargus · 2004-07-05 16:42 I install LAZARUS on FC2   fpc 1.0.11, fpsrc 1.0.11, fpc - 1.9.3, fpcscr 1.9.3 & lazarus.zip When i add mysql than error! cannot find /usr/bin/ld find -lmysqlclient Where must link mysqlclient.so.10.0.0???????????????????????? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- chris.kirkpatrick · 2004-09-13 10:06 Try this link: http://lazarus-ccr.sourceforge.net/index.php?wiki=LazarusDatabase Hope this helps ---------------------------------------------------------------------- matthijs · 2005-01-09 18:01 Sorry to kick this one up. But, ... untill yesterday I had no problem. My /etc/ld.so.conf is: Code: [Select] include ld.so.conf.d/*.conf /usr/lib/gcc/i386-redhat-linux/3.4.2 /usr/lib/mysql /usr/lib /usr/X11R6/lib /usr/lib/qt-3.3/lib In /etc/fpc.cfg the following is the library search path: Code: [Select] # searchpath for libraries -Fl/usr/lib/gcc/i386-redhat-linux/3.4.2 -Fl/lib;/usr/lib -Fl/lib/usr/mysql When I check the installed packages, this is the result: Code: [Select] [matthijs@linux testdb]$ rpm -qa | grep mysql mysql-devel-3.23.58-14 php-mysql-4.3.10-3.2 mysql-3.23.58-14 mysql-server-3.23.58-14 still I get the dreaded "cannot find" error. What else is there to be done. It worked before, so I must overlook something. [edit] Of course do the files lmysqlclient (and mysqlcleint exists in the library path. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- matthijs · 2005-01-09 19:47 Never mind. The library search path contained a typo. ("-Fl/lib/usr/mysql" instead of "-Fl/usr/lib/mysql") But this leaves another question. Why won't the linker find the libraries through the symbolic links in /usr/lib/gcc/i386-redhat- linux/3.4.2 or /usr/lib?
