Hi,

I have an reeor in installing mysql component:
"Error while linking"

Before this, there is:
undefined reference to "mysql_connect_db"
undefined reference to "mysql_create_db"
undefined reference to "mysql_drop_db"

What can i do?

I already have identicall problem. I use SuSE 9.1. I hope that upgrade
MySQL version to 4.0 and resolve problem

I played around a bit some time ago at getting mysql to work. As I
remember I already had mysql 4 installed on my computer. FPC comes
with the headers for mysql 4 and 3 but uses 3 by default(I think).  So
what you may need to do is figure out how to use the other headers.

In the FPC source dir there is a directory packages/base/mysql/ with a
README in it.

I have another error now:
"can't find unit MYSQLDB"

As near as I know the mysqldb file will not work if you had to use the
mysql 4 unit. If you didn't you can try adding the (free pascal source
dir)/fcl/db/mysql/ to your "Run  - Compiler options - other source
files." If this doesn't work then I don't have any other ideas. Try
asking on the lazarus mailinglist.
