All of the old standard-bearers (LibGen, Z-lib, pdfdrive, Anna's
Archive) seem to have fallen from grace. For a while now they haven't
had anything I've been looking for, or seemingly anything beyond the
absolute most mainstream. Where would a discerning Lain find
literature? Or whatever even more encompassing term includes
nonfiction works as well, like textbooks, e.g. I think my use case
should be pretty obvious right?!

Do you want something to browse, or do you want something to find a
specific book download by title? I think nowadays it's easier to
browse things using general internet, resources that don't have
downloads available, even shops sometimes, but for downloading just
search it directly in DHT.
