If you really need to remove the password just use qpdf.

>qpdf –password=evva3ks –decrypt 1413080273839.pdf  picking.pdf

every time I try to pick a lock, except for the most basic ones, I
fuarrrk up and can't do it. I don't know if I'm applying too much
pressure or what, it just doesn't seem to work for me.
