I live lainchan / lain ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Echo · 2021-12-14 16:00 ahh, I've never posted here before but I think I will give it a try- The only thing I am really wondering is if there's anyone else like me. I feel empty. The only time I don't feel empty is when I'm online. My life is through the internet. No, I don't use any social media accounts I hate being known to people but I live through just sitting here on a computer all day talking to random people I find in chatrooms. I've truly lost all social skills with the real world and when I discovered Lain she gave me a sense of release. idk why I'm venting to a random website online yet again but here I am. Maybe you'll see me again somewhere xd goodbye ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Donna Hawthorne · 2021-12-18 19:18 You made a duplicate post >>>909 >I feel empty me too. I think most user of those imageboards feel the same :( Goodbye anon ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 藤原純一 · 2022-02-27 04:26 >>910 We all feel the same. There's a reason we're here and not where the majority of the population is. They have their dense, built-up city at the center of the wired and we walk around the outskirts looking for people like us. Whenever I talk to someone in real life, I feel like I'm putting on a facade, a fake, filtered version of myself. And it's tiring. See you around, lainon. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Yamaoto Toshi · 2022-03-24 14:00 >>910 Feelings of emptiness in the real world with a feeling of being alive on the internet. Avoids social media for privacy and staying alone. Low social skills in the real world. Relating to Lain. Sounds like a case of schizoid personality disorder. Lain is probably the perfect example of a schizoid, so it makes sense that the show would give you some feelings of finally having something to relate to. If you like the internet, get good at it, that is my advice. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Agent Jones · 2022-03-28 00:16 >>910 You're not alone.. Godspeed anon ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Crash Override · 2022-05-14 03:50 I feel the same way. No one else around me really knows how bad it is. Sometimes the only people I can relate to is the people on here. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SN · 2022-06-02 19:00 >>957 i hope youre doing well ---------------------------------------------------------------------- XFP · 2022-06-18 16:30 You're not alone anon. I've even been in the Army where all interactions are strictly normed, and now I have no idea how to talk to people outside my job. And some days or weeks all I can do is stare at a screen all day. Tip I can give you for social interactions : don't talk about yourself, and do things you like. If bars and noisy placesare not your thing, maybe walks, ping pong or climbing is (some of the most awkward people I know climb, some don't know anything about their regular partner). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Incognito · 2022-10-31 01:23 >>962 this, don't talk about yourself unless they seem curious. ask questions and give compliments on the most expensive / effort-looking part of someone is pretty much how i got by socializing for a while "you're such a great listener lain!" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ざわ · 2022-12-13 21:16 Real life is unbearably slow. And real people are only fine once you get to know them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mario Rossi · 2023-01-03 11:48 sounds like depression... sometimes therapy helps, sometimes more social contacts, but often nothing at all helps
