CREATING A SHOPIFY WEB STORE

I'm starting up a Shopify web store, which you can find here:
https://nantucketlit.myshopify.com/ (https://nantucketlit.myshopify.com/). 

I had some success with Shopify last year while selling a Christmas book. I've
decided to build on that store and sell a few different things.

As of right now, you can purchase my No-AI bumper sticker
(https://nantucketlit.myshopify.com/products/no-ai-bumper-sticker) on the
store. Many more books will come, and I plan to sell ebooks there as well.

I understand that Shopify is very much non-free software, and I do not like
their AI policy. 

I have been working for a while on software for making great ebooks. Now that
I've turned my focus to selling books online, I've found that... ecommerce is
hard. Unfortunately, the easy-to-use solutions for webstores are mostly nonfree
software.

Shopify does support alt text for images, so I will be making sure all the
images on my store have alt text. 

SUPPORTING OLDER SHOPPING METHODS

I still want to support alternatives to Shopify, so I'm proud to announce that

I will also continue to search for a web store that is more freedom-respecting
than Shopify.   

WHAT ABOUT THE FSF WEB STORE?

You might be wondering what the Free Software Foundation does for their web
store. I have contacted the FSF and asked them. Their web store is, in their
own words, build from odds and ends here and there, and is not ready to be
distributed as a complete system. 

If the FSF could find a way to turn their web store into a product that other
free-software projects can use, I would donate to it immediately.
