Service: MTP - transfering files with Mud Transfer Protocol to Nemesis Description: MTP (Mud Transfer Protocol) offers the possibility for wizards to transfer their castle-files to and from Nemesis. You need a special client for this which is available from https://nemesis.de/download/ . The behaviour of mtp is slightly changed on Nemesis then on other MUDs. Not every directory that has a file named 'mtplock' in it is not readable, but by default no directory is readable. But a directory containing a file named '.public' is readable. Also the /doc, /include, /lib, and /obj directories can be read with mtp. The mtpserver is running on the same host as Nemesis, but on port 1999. More informations about mtp is provided in the documentation of mtp-1_4_2u.tar.gz which you find at https://nemesis.de/download/ . Note: An example configuration file '.mtprc' is in /doc/w/mtprc . The MTP daemon checks your password with Nemesis, not with NemTest! But perhaps you prefer the more state-of-the-art technique: The web-based Nemesis MudFM (MUD FileManager) via https://nemesis.de/files/ ! See also: w/mtprc, w/MudFM, w/NemTest, w/ftp
