31a [06] WHAT IS A DISK QUOTA? When you create an account on this system, you immediately have an allocation of 20 megabytes and about 1000 inodes (or number of files) for your home directory, located in the /udd filesystem. You also have a 20 megabyte allocation in /mail and /www. When you get a message stating you have EXCEEDED YOUR QUOTA this means that you either have more than 20 megabytes in your home directory or more than 1000 files. If you are going to need more disk space for a more elaborate home page, alot of email or just room for archiving, you can obtain a 100 megabyte quota (5000 files) by becoming an ARPA member. Also, check the HOW CAN I DONATE? faq question for information on modifying your disk quota. 0
