Report on Homework and NMTPC

 Alida:  Carryover.

 Brenda: Adventures in Nacho Cheese.  Carryover.

 Discussion of teen parents in relation to the "least restrictive environment" at schools.

 NMTPC was contacted.

 Maria asked a mom of a 17, a 14 and a 20 year old.  It seemed to be a uncomfortable subject for them to talk about.

 Brenda reports that the kids get out of school for lunch at 11:50 rather than 11:30.  the kids probably have access to condoms without the PHO being open at lunch.

Sex Ed. Research PDSA

 As a first PDSA, we are going to approaching the Tucumcari superintendent to the idea of researching an appropriate curriculum with the schools that will fit into the current schedule.  Research funding.

Other Matters

 Jessie received information from a family that is concerned with the lack of sex education in the schools here.  Discussion of why this is happening and also why is it NOT happening.

 Alida suggests getting a researched curriculum to present to the schools to help get Sex Ed. into the classroom.
