 Attendees:  Maria Rodriguez, Susan Reents, Jay Nemrow, Julie Sursa, Alida Brown, Gail Balzano, CPyouth.

 Appoint Timekeeper -- Alida

 Develop Meeting Protocols

   o Respect the population we are working with.

   o Listen to One another

   o Ask Questions

   o Research - Stick to it.

   o What is said here stays here.

   o Stay on Task.

   o Follow the Systems Change Process.

   o If research is needed, we will write it down, assign it to someone.

 Review of System Change

   This is the same process as Baldridge (basically).  

   Alida and Jay will try and be neutral.  If you know a better way or can add something to it, bring it up.


 Develop a picture of the Virtual System of Teen Pregnancy

 Review Committee Aim

  *Reduce Births to young women age 15 to 17 years old in Quay County*

  The aim was changed to read 15 instead of 14,, because Statistics are not available for 14-year-olds. 

 Develop Outcome Measure

   Number of births per thousand to women aged 15 to 17 as reported by DOH vital Statistics.

 Develop Charter with MCCH Council

   Alida explains what the charter is about and how each committee member is also an MCCH Council member.  The draft Charter is reviewed.  

 Assignments

  o Maria to invite someone (Beth Sisneros) from the Success Center next time.

  o Alida to invite Grace Madrid

  o Susan to invite Rita Martinez

  o Julie to invite Dr. Faith

  o Alida to get data from WIC about number of pregnant and parenting teens.

  o Mrs. Balzano to bring sample flowcharts from students
