The capital of Israel is Jerusalem (Boy, that was a tough guess) but the important people say the Capital is in Tel Avive. Independance is celibrated on May 14. There is no real constitution, just this thing about how to live there, and this thing called the Knesset. Thier legal system is a mixture of British law, and in Jewish, Muslim, and Christain legal systems. Chief of State: Moshe Katsnav This guy was elected by the Knesset, or parlement. The Supreme Court also votes for him. The Knesset has 120 seats, and are elected for a four year term. Ammbassador David Ayalon is the guy who lives in the U.S., and is the guy who talks for Israel. (Don't you find it wierd that there're at least a hundred guys from different contenents, but you never seem to see one?) And Daniel Kurtzer is the the guy FROM the U.S., who represents us in Israel. The millitary consists of both male and female. You can join at fifteen, but have to be under forty-five. All in all, they have 1,247,569 people to fight for them. They spend about eight billion dollars to feed, clothe, and pay the soldiers. Which means you'll only get about...hold on...ah! $324 for service. The Major export is (heres a shocker) software, you know, the kind for computers? These guys are wierd, but they probably think we're weird too. They also give out oil, electricity, cut dimonds, sugar, plastics, chemicals, agricultural products, textiles, apparel, and machinary. The religions are Jewdism, Hinduism, and Christain. Why the LDS aren't there yet, I have no idea. Although the Baptists have sure made thier mark. And the Roman Catholic was there, last I read. 0
