MISSION

Library Computing Services is a unit within the Office of Computer and
Information Systems.  The mission of Library Computing Services is:

	- To identify, define, develop, implement, maintain and promote
	  computing solutions to support the University Libraries' programs
	  and services.

	- To provide access to electronic information resources and services
	  for students and faculty in order to enhance the quality and
	  effectiveness of instructional, research, and public service
	  programs of the University.

	- To provide technical leadership in the research and development
	  of electronic information resources and services in support of the
	  academic mission of the University.
