aaf The generic integrated seat and detailed room has many additions to the normal room. By creating an 'integrated' room, you are allowing yourself to add seats to your room and details (to add to the rooms description) without creating objects and for very little quota. The integrated seats system was ported (the code is public) from LambdaMOO (lambda.moo.mud.org:8888), and the integrated details were programmed by Jay (#8438) - and inspired by those on various other MOOs. _Adding Seats to Your Room_ First, decide what kind of seat you'd like to add. For example, a couch. To add the couch to the room, simply type: @addseat couch Then /carefully/ (I can't stress this enough) respond to the questions it asks you. It's /that/ easy. Some other useful commands when dealing with seats are: @rmseat -> this removes the given seat from the room. @seated/@sit/@osit/@stand/@ostand -> this changes the given seat's message (use: @viewseat to see a seat's messages) @seatname -> changes a seat's name. @seatsize -> toggles the number of people allowed to sit in a seat. @seats - lists the room's seats. _Using Seats_ Just 'sit/lie [on] ', 'stand [from] ' or 'sit with '. _Integrated Details_ This details system was designed to allow players to add objects to their room without actaully creating them. The system is, and will, change every now in then as it is improved. _Adding a Detail_ There are a few different ways to add a detail to your room: @adddetail @adddetail as The first way will bring up a "read lines" box and allow you to input a long description; while, the latter of the two allows you to quickly insert a simple description for the detail (which may be changed later). *Note: by setting the detail's description to '*verb*' it will call a verb on the room called '_detail'. This may be useful in places where you wish the detail to be a little more 'active' (for example, #3518:directory_detail). Some other useful commands when dealing with details are: @rm-detail -> removes the detail from the room. @detailname is -> renames the given detail. @detail-description [is ] -> re-describes the given detail. @details -> lists all the details. *Note: Additional help may be gained my typing '?#3309:'. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please send any questions, comments, suggestions or errors to Jay (#8438) Ask Jay (#8438) if you want to have it as a room's parent - as it is not fertile. . 0
