A BILL
To amend the Mineral Leasing Act to prohibit the exportation of Alaska
North Slope crude oil.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Oil Supply Improvement Act''.
SEC. 2. PROHIBITION OF EXPORTATION OF ALASKA NORTH SLOPE CRUDE OIL.
Section 28 of the Act of February 25, 1920 (commonly known as the
``Mineral Leasing Act'') (30 U.S.C. 185), is amended by striking
subsection(s) and inserting the following:
``(s) Prohibition of Exportation.--No crude oil that is transported
by pipeline over a right-of-way granted under section 203 of the Trans-
Alaska Pipeline Authorization Act (43 U.S.C. 1652) shall be
exported.''.
