referred to the Committee on Foreign Relations

A BILL
To amend the FREEDOM Support Act to authorize the President to waive
the restriction of assistance for Azerbaijan if the President
determines that it is in the national security interest of the United
States to do so.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. WAIVER OF RESTRICTION ON ASSISTANCE TO AZERBAIJAN.
Section 907 of the FREEDOM Support Act (Public Law 102-511; 22
U.S.C. 5812 note) is amended--
(1) by striking ``United States'' and inserting ``(a)
Restriction.--United States''; and
(2) by adding at the end the following:
``(b) Waiver.--The President is authorized to waive the restriction
in subsection (a) if the President determines that it is in the
national security interest of the United States to do so.''.
