A BILL
To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to provide a grant to the
State of New Jersey for the construction of a memorial to the New
Jersey victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. GRANT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF NEW JERSEY MEMORIAL.
The Secretary of the Interior may provide a grant in an amount not
to exceed $100,000 to the State of New Jersey for the construction of a
memorial in Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey, to the New
Jersey victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
SEC. 2. AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS.
There is authorized to be appropriated $100,000 for fiscal year
2003 for carrying out this Act, such sums to remain available until
expended.
