which was referred to the Committee on Science, and in addition to the
Committee on Resources, for a period to be subsequently determined by
the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall
within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned

A BILL
To authorize funding for the development, launch, and operation of a
Synthetic Aperture Radar satellite in support of a national energy
policy.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. AUTHORIZATION.
(a) Development and Deployment.--There are authorized to be
appropriated to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration
$376,000,000 for the development and deployment of a multifrequency
Synthetic Aperture Radar satellite in support of a national energy
policy.
(b) Authorization of Appropriations.--There are authorized to be
appropriated to the United States Geological Survey $19,000,000 per
fiscal year for Command, Control, Data Processing, Archiving, and
Distribution of data from the Synthetic Aperture Radar satellite
through the EROS Data Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
