A BILL
To provide that pay for prevailing rate employees in Pasquotank County,
North Carolina, be determined by applying the same pay schedules and
rates as apply with respect to prevailing rate employees in the local
wage area that includes Carteret County, North Carolina.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. APPLICABILITY OF SAME PAY SCHEDULES AND RATES.
(a) In General.--Notwithstanding any provision of subchapter IV of
chapter 53 of title 5, United States Code, pay for prevailing rate
employees in Pasquotank County, North Carolina, shall be fixed and
adjusted by applying the same pay schedules and rates as apply with
respect to prevailing rate employees in the local wage area that
includes Carteret County, North Carolina.
(b) Definition.--For purposes of this Act, the term ``prevailing
rate employee'' has the meaning given such term under section 5342 of
title 5, United States Code.
(c) Regulations.--The Office of Personnel Management may prescribe
any regulations necessary to carry out this Act.
(d) Effective Date.--This Act shall apply with respect to pay for
service performed in any pay period beginning on or after the date of
enactment of this Act.
