AT THE FIRST SESSION
Begun and held at the City of Washington on Tuesday,
the fifth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and ninety-three
Concurrent Resolution
Whereas informed research on the United States Congress depends heavily
on access to the office files, personal papers, oral history interview
transcripts, and associated memorabilia of its former members;
Whereas the Senate in 1983 and the House of Representatives in 1988 have
published well-received guides to these materials; and
Whereas thousands of new entries have been added to the Senate's 1983
edition and supplies of this award-winning reference guide have been
exhausted: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate (the House of Representatives concurring),
That there shall be printed as a Senate document, the book entitled
``Guide to Research Collections of Former United States Senators''
prepared by the Senate Historical Office under the supervision of the
Secretary of the Senate.
Sec. 2. Such document shall include illustrations, and shall be in
such style, form, manner, and binding as directed by the Joint Committee
on Printing after consultation with the Secretary of the Senate.
Sec. 3. In addition to the usual number, there shall be printed for
the use of the Office of the Secretary of the Senate the lesser of--
(1) 5,000 copies of the document; or
(2) such number of copies of the document as does not exceed a
total production and printing cost of $83,425.
