3b9 主講人:黃文良博士(中央研究院資訊科學所) 講題:Wavelet Analysis of Multifractals and Brain function imaging 時間:85年6月13日(星期四)下午3時 地點:鴻經館M107室 Abstract In this talk, I will demonstrate two applications of wavelet transform on characterization of multifractal signals, and on the analysis of optical brain imaging. Multifractals are singular curves having self-similarity properties. I will show a robust algorithm to extact the parameters related to the structure of the multifractal signals using the wavelet maxima in the scale-space plane. Optical imaging of intrinsic signals is a recently developed in vivo imaging technique that enables the visualization of the functional organization of the brain with the highest spatial resolution. I will show that how a mathematical analysis can be useful, together with the help of wavelet transform, to delineate the active brain region robustly and systematically. 0
