B) They're the only company which has ALWAYS offered 5 year warranties on their high end drives and never got bought out. Further, I'm not aware of them every selling their most useless crap price-point-only drive with less than one year... and iirc, that was only on external drives. The crap retail please-dont-put-my-name-on-it drives were three years minimum (and even most of them had five years). Heck, even their laptop drives have a five-year warranty.
