Color television was just being introduced to Canada the year that Star
Trek came out. Thus, in the summer before Star Trek premiered, color TV
sets were demonstrated using part of an early Star Trek episode at
Klondike Days, an annual summer fair that takes place in Edmonton.

I later watched the show on my black-and-white TV at home during its
first run. I missed one or two episodes, however, that I did not see
until later, among them "For The World Is Hollow and I Have Touched the
Sky".

So I saw a little bit of Star Trek at *quite* an early date.
