Actually YES.
(even though the squire of gothos was not in my opinion one of the best
episodes)

Even most of the single episode characters in trek, had definite
personalities that are set when you first saw them.
Of course, with Trelaine the end was a total surprise, that nobody expects.
(at least the first time you see it)

But Trelaine was more of a wesley crusher, than a que. ;)
