Yes, I still think TNG is vastly inferior to TOS and it always will be. Not necessarily because it was different, but because it just wasn't done that well. TOS was fun to watch. A lot of TNG took itself too seriously and because it took itself so seriously, all of the really ridiculous plot devices, technobabble and irrational, illogical uses of superscience became even more absurd. Between TOS and TNG, it felt like the Roddenberry vision of the future got even more ridiculously utopian, it came off largely as the wonderful humans had to show all the primitive aliens how great we were. And let's not forget Wesley Crusher, boy deity. TNG might have slowly grown into an almost watchable show, but it just can't recapture the fun that TOS had out of the gate. . 0
