Some of them but by no means all of them.  I have been watching Star
Trek since the 1960's and I, among many fans I know, was looking
forward to the new series.

It will always be second place to "Star Trek" but TNG is still a good
series.

It depends on how you mean inferior.  An Olympic Silver Medallist is
inferior to the Gold Medallist in his or her chosen event but not an
inferior athlete in any other definition of the word.   Thus is TNG
inferior to TOS but it is still a very good series by any definition
of the word.  

I enjoyed the original BSG but like the new one much better.
