Incidentally, speaking about that bit about Spock supervising the
lowliest scrub detail, take a look at Spock's role in What Are Little
Girls Made Of?  When the Kirk android returns to the ship, Spock isn't
on the bridge, he's down there on Level 5 with a clipboard, helping a
crewman with some kind of maintenance job.
