Braga's Threshold is one of four sci-fi shows that came on this season
that will inevitably be compared to each other: Invasion, Supernatural,
and Surface. Of those four, I think only Supernatural will last beyond
this year. It is the only one that is genuinely scary, the rest are
just going through a grab bag of cliches.

BTW, speaking of Threshold, in the series premiere, how is it that the
North Koreans detected the event in the *Atlantic* ocean, and sent a
submarine after it? Last I knew, the NK's were in the *Pacific* Ocean;
and the NK's have nuclear submarines that travel the world? You know if
this were twenty years ago, then they'd be saying Russians, but that
bogeyman has been mostly taken away. The only thing more ludicrous
would've been if they had said Iranians or Iraqis instead of North
Koreans. Bottom-of-the-barrel writing.
