Do NOT do to Trek what they did to BSG. Trek is not like that, it's not supposed to be a show so depressing it makes a Bergman film look like a comedy. That's what I like about Trek's vision of humanity - it's risen above all those weak flaws. Trek is about hope, optimism and no small amount of idealism.
