Radiation from an asteroid strike killed every colonist over 4 and drove
the rest underground.  70 years later, the colonists have guns.  How in
the world were 4 year olds able to maintain the knowledge of how to make
and maintain guns?

I'm told that radiation usually affects children more than adults.  How
is it that only the children survived?
