A month after the second miscarriage I got pregnant again and carried to term without a problem. 2 1/2 years later I had a third child. But, that's me. I've watched my share of soaps over the years (recovering afternoon soapaholic, sober for 11 years) and it seems to me that in each case the women in those stories had complications, particularly after the therapeutic abortions. I'm more concerned about how easily women in soaps miscarried -- anything from a slip on the ice to a hard sneeze could precipitate a spontaneous abortion. If it was that easy to miscarry there wouldn't be a population explosion. Of course we aren't talking here about women with incompetent cervixes who will never carry a child to term -- or at least won't without a suture which may, or may not work. Gabby . 0
