Big difference there in my book. Also, when she turned down the preop nookie, he asked if she'd like to help him launch Little Lucien postop. He asked more than once and he asked for something much more intimate than a mere date. > (Now there may be a hospital policy that forbids a teacher from dating > students, but we have never seen any sign of it before, so don't > pretend that it applies here any more than it never applied before.) Actually, we have seen it repeatedly over the years, at least between med students and residents. We haven't seen that residents and attendings aren't allowed, though. > > And just because he asked her to go out and she didn't want to does not > make it harassment either. Once again, asking for sex is not the same as asking for a date and I think a lot of legal experts would agree. > >> and I don't think a guy with his professional rep and experiences >> would be so stupid as to risk it all even if he is a bit socially inept. > > Here's an example of the punishment I mentioned - calling him stupid > and socially inept for asking out a woman who doesn't want to go out > with him. Asking a woman with whom he has nothing more than a professional relationship to sleep with him is indeed socially inept and stupid where I come from. >> >> I was waiting for Dubenko to tell her at the end that he was only joking >> and that he hoped she'd think twice before poking her nose into people's >> personal business again. I'm sorry, but you think asking for sex is the same thing as asking for a date and I'm the one who is bizarre? LOL!!!! Anyway, I'd agree, if Abby gave the sex therapist any personal info on Dubenko or God forbid hooked him up with her, he'd have plenty of reason to complain. If nothing else, he asked Abby to service him, not to act as his pimp. However, doesn't sexual harrassment require that one person hold some power or control in the work environment? Dubenko is Abby's superior, so I'm not sure he could complain she was sexually harrassing him since she has no power over him in the workplace. Doc Sharon . 0
