To : alt.tv.er From : darrenthornton Date : Fri Oct 14 2005 13:20:45 From Newsgroup: alt.tv.er Lucien Patterson was the clerk of court in our parish for many years. He finally got defeated a few years back. When it comes to politics, I support term limits. But there are two things that work better. One, politicians voluntarily step down. Two, people vote. John Grisham used the character Lucien Wilbanks in at least two of his books. He was the disbarred lawyer in his first novel, A Time To Kill. Donald Sutherland played him in the movie. I'm currently reading The Last Juror, which is set in 1970. Wilbanks defended an accused rapist/murderer. I was once in a Sunday School class with two other Darrens. Guess which one got his name misspelled on the class roster? I've only known one who used an i instead of an e (the correct way). So far, I've never met anyone who only had one r. Another Darren joined our school in 9th grade. Interestingly, we both ended up with nicknames. Sincerely, Darren Thornton . 0
